Meditation Initiation:

Meditation is fundamental to yoga and an essential practice in our everyday lives  as it allows us to tap into deep stillness, calm the mind, and nurture a sense of presence within ourselves. Through a simple yet potent technique rooted in the Himalayan Vedantic Tradition, these teachings offer benefits for every aspect of our being and are accessible to practitioners of all levels, including newcomers. In a series of 3 sessions, we will explore the basics of meditation, practice the technique together, and introduce a personalized mantra specifically tuned  for your daily meditation practice. These sessions are available either in person or via Zoom, making this transformative experience accessible to all, regardless of location.

Restorative & Yin Yoga

Restorative and Yin yoga classes offer profound benefits by emphasizing deep relaxation and stretching, respectively.

In Restorative classes, practitioners engage in gentle, supported poses by props like blankets, bolsters, and blocks,  held for extended periods of time allowing practitioners to fully relax into each pose. The emphasis is on comfort and relaxation, and the practice aims to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, triggering the body's natural relaxation response. promoting relaxation and stress relief.

Yin yoga, on the other hand, involves holding seated or reclined poses for a longer duration, usually ranging from three to five minutes. Unlike more active styles of yoga, Yin yoga targets the deep connective tissues, ligaments, and joints in the body. practitioners improve flexibility, enhance joint mobility, and stimulate the flow of energy (or chi) through the body's meridian lines. Yin yoga also encourages mental stillness, mindfulness, and self-awareness, making it a meditative and introspective practice.

Whether shared in a private one-on-one session or within group settings. These practices can be taught in person or via Zoom.
